The most prominent feature of Imperial’s kitchen is an impressive wood fired grill and rotisserie that makes use of native hard and fruit woods. Imperial offers healthy and uncomplicated preparations, and serves the community by remembering its past. Imperial is warm, welcoming and generous.

Centrally located in the heart of Downtown Portland, the Imperial and Hotel Lucia are widely recognized for our award-winning team of Chefs, attention to detail, unique Portland vibe, and commitment to impeccable, personalized service. We currently have several lovely private dining spaces that suit a variety of different event types.

Located just off our artfully appointed Sky-lit Atrium lobby on our main level, the Pettygrove accommodates groups of up to 72 for a formal dinner, or 125 guests for a standing affair.  Through two sets of double doors that can be propped open Atrium lobby itself can be used for cocktail hour or during breaks, allowing your guests to enjoy the lounge furniture and soak in the ambiance of this lovely public space.

The Lovejoy Room is located on our lower level. The room's recent remodel includes new carpeting, iconic Americana photographs, and state-of-the-art AV. There is a pillar at the center of the space, with ample room for rounds for 48 guests or 1 table for up to 20 guests with additional space for cocktail tables and a bar.

Named after the coin that Frances Pettygrove and Asa Lovejoy used to decide Portland's name in 1845, Portland Penny Diner is a great option for cocktail parties and informal gatherings. Front portion of the diner is very suitable for DJ and dancing. It spills into yet another part of the hotel’s lobby and with plush comfy furniture makes it very attractive for late night soirees.

Quimby Room is the newest addition to our fleet. It is suitable for meetings of up to 20. Comfortable and quiet it is slated to get the most up to date AV equipment so staying connected to the world will be a since while enjoying intimate surroundings. The remodel includes new carpeting and iconic photographs.

Additionally, the semi-private Pendleton room seats 10. It is adjacent to the main kitchen inside Imperial restaurant. The sliding glass barn doors provide all the quiet and privacy with out being left out of the action.

This room works equally well as breakfast or lunch meeting room as well as a place to celebrate any special occasion. Our chefs will be thrilled to create one of a kind tasting menu to feature our Pacific NW seasonal bounty. With wine and beverages to match this will be a truly one of a kind experience you will not soon forget.

And Finally Paley's at your Place!

We enjoy taking our show on the road to bring what we offer at our restaurants to new venues. Over the years, we've cooked at a steady stream of events from James Beard dinners to food and wine festivals to cooking classes. We particularly enjoy venturing out into our local wine & farm country, which brings us full circle: Imperial and Paley’s Place feature our region's best ingredients and wines in the restaurants—why not bring Paley's back to the source?

Our catering applies the same rigor and creativity of the food and service of our restaurants to your private events. We tailor our menus and services to your needs which allows us to cater all types of events.

Food
We pride ourselves on tailoring the menu to your particular event offering all types of menus, from standing cocktail reception hors d'oevure to buffet & family-style meals to plated and coursed dinners. You will find the same award-winning, locally-driven cuisine we have become known for at your event. We also enjoy opportunities to offer foods beyond those you would find on the restaurants’ menu such as multicultural-themed dishes and seafood buffets. For weddings and other events with many out-of-town guests, our cuisine is the perfect way to showcase Oregon's bounty.

Beverage
Our catering has the unique advantage of providing custom beverage menu written to perfectly compliment the food. Imperial and Paley’s Place is particularly well recognized for our expert wine pairings, which often feature our local wineries. We offer wine, beer, cocktail, and non-alcoholic beverage menus.

Service
Imperial and Paley's Place has received numerous accolades for our sophisticated, well informed and unobtrusive service. This same staff will be at your event, offering an unsurpassed level of service and intimate knowledge of your food and beverage menus.
