5 Minute Lunch: Turkey, Avocado And Hummus Wrap Recipe

Yields: 1 serving
Prep Time: 5 minutes

  • 1 large whole-wheat tortilla or wrap of your choice
  • 2-3 tablespoons hummus (classic, roasted red pepper, or another flavor you enjoy)
  • 3-4 slices deli turkey (oven-roasted or your preferred type)
  • ¼ avocado, thinly sliced
  • Handful of baby spinach or lettuce (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • Butter knife or small spatula

Prep the avocado: Gently slice your avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice ¼ of it into thin slices.

Assemble the wrap: Lay your tortilla on a flat surface. Spread the hummus evenly over the tortilla, leaving a ½ inch border around the edges.

Layer the fillings: Arrange the turkey slices in the center of the tortilla. Top the turkey with the avocado slices and a handful of spinach or lettuce, if desired.

Season: Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Roll it up: Carefully fold the bottom edge of the tortilla up towards the center. Then, fold in the sides. Continue rolling the tortilla tightly to form a wrap.

Slice and enjoy: Slice the wrap in half with a sharp knife (optional), and enjoy your quick and healthy lunch!

  • Variations: Add other toppings like sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, or a sprinkle of feta cheese for extra flavor.
  • Make-ahead: To pack this for a lunch on the go, wrap it tightly in parchment paper or plastic wrap and place it in a reusable container.
  • Adjustments: Customize the amount of hummus, turkey, and avocado to your liking.
