Air Fryer Asparagus Recipe, 3 Ingredients in 5 Minutes

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt (or regular salt + pinch of garlic powder)

1. Prep the asparagus: Wash your asparagus stalks and trim off the woody ends (about 1-2 inches from the bottom).

2. Season: In a bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil and garlic salt, ensuring the spears are evenly coated.

3. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C) and preheat for a couple of minutes.

4. Air Fry: Arrange the asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer. If you have a lot of asparagus, work in batches to avoid overcrowding the basket.

5. Cook: Air fry for 3 minutes initially, then use tongs to give the asparagus a good toss or shake.

6. Finish cooking: Air fry for another 1-4 minutes longer. The total cooking time will depend on how thick your asparagus spears are. You want them tender but still slightly crisp.

7. Enjoy! Serve immediately while hot. Optionally, you can add a touch of freshly squeezed lemon juice or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese just before serving.

Adjust the seasoning: Feel free to experiment with other spices like pepper, paprika, or a pinch of chili flakes.

Don’t overcook: Keep a close eye on the asparagus, as it can go from crisp-tender to overcooked quickly. Err on the side of slightly underdone!

Leftovers: While best when fresh, leftover air fryer asparagus can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated.
