Christmas Crunch – The Ultimate Holiday Treat Recipe

This Christmas Crunch recipe is a delightful mix of sweet, salty, and crunchy textures, perfect for the holiday season. It’s easy to make, requires minimal baking, and can be customized to your preferences.

  • 8 cups gluten-free puffcorn cereal (like Old Dutch brand)
  • 2 cups gluten-free pretzels
  • 1.5 cups peanuts
  • 12 ounces bag of white chocolate chips (gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 11 ounces bag of holiday M&Ms
  • Gluten-free holiday sprinkles (optional)

  • Prepare a baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the gluten-free puffcorn cereal, pretzels, and peanuts.
  • Melt the chocolate: In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave on high for 40 seconds, then take it out and stir well. Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate, or it can burn.
  • Coat the cereal mixture: Pour the melted chocolate over the dry cereal mixture in the large bowl. Gently fold the mixture with a spatula until everything is evenly coated with chocolate.
  • Spread the mixture: Pour the chocolate-coated cereal mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Use the spatula to spread it out into an even layer.
  • Add праздничные конфеты (prazdnichnye konfety) [decorative candies]: While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the holiday M&Ms over the top of the mixture. Gently press down on the M&Ms to help them adhere to the chocolate.
  • Add festive flair (optional): For an extra touch of Christmas cheer, sprinkle the gluten-free holiday sprinkles over the top of the M&Ms.
  • Refrigerate for setting: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set.
  • Break and enjoy: Once the chocolate is set, break the Christmas Crunch into pieces and enjoy! Store leftover Christmas Crunch in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

  • If you don’t have gluten-free ingredients, you can use regular puffcorn cereal, pretzels, and peanuts. However, be sure to check the labels to ensure they are gluten-free if you have celiac disease or a gluten intolerance.
  • You can substitute other types of nuts or dried fruit for the peanuts in this recipe. Just be sure to choose chopped nuts or dried fruit that is similar in size to the peanuts.
  • For a richer chocolate flavor, you can use semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of white chocolate chips.
  • If you don’t have holiday M&Ms, you can use regular M&Ms or other festive-colored candies.
  • You can also drizzle melted white chocolate or dark chocolate over the top of the Christmas Crunch for an extra decadent treat.

Enjoy this delicious and festive Christmas Crunch recipe!
