Everything Bagel Almond Crackers Recipe

For the crackers:

  • 1 1/2 cups finely ground almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (optional, for a slight tang)

For the Everything Bagel Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt (like Maldon)

Make the Everything Bagel Seasoning (if not using store-bought):

  • In a small bowl, combine the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, and coarse sea salt. Set aside.

Prepare the dough:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar (if using).
  • In a separate bowl, combine the almond flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Roll and cut the dough:

  • Divide the dough in half. Place one half on a sheet of parchment paper and cover with another sheet of parchment.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough between the parchment sheets until very thin (about 1/16 inch thickness).
  • Remove the top sheet of parchment paper and generously sprinkle about half of the Everything Bagel Seasoning on top. Gently press to adhere.
  • Use a pizza cutter or knife to score the dough into cracker shapes (squares, rectangles, or any shape you like). Repeat with the remaining dough and seasoning.

  • Bake both sheets for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Rotate the baking sheets halfway through baking for even cooking.
  • Remove from the oven and let the crackers cool completely on the baking sheets. This will help them become fully crisp.

  • Once completely cool, break the crackers apart along the scored lines and enjoy! Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

  • Rolling Tip: If the dough is sticky, lightly dust it with extra almond flour while rolling. For extra thinness, chill the dough slightly before rolling.
  • Flavor Boost: A small drizzle of melted butter over the crackers right before baking adds extra richness.
  • Customize It: Add other spices to your Everything Bagel Seasoning blend, like dried chives or a pinch of chili powder.
