Fudgy Cookies & Cream Oreo Brownies Recipe

For the brownie batter:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

For the Oreo filling:

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, divided

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Make the brownie batter:

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Don’t overmix!

Assemble the brownies:

  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.

Prepare the Oreo filling:

  • Separate the Oreo cookies and remove the cream filling from half of the cookies.
  • You can discard the cream filling or eat it yourself (no judgment!).
  • Roughly chop the remaining cookies with the cream filling.

Sprinkle the chopped Oreos over the first layer of brownie batter.

Pour the remaining brownie batter over the top and spread into an even layer. Gently press the remaining whole Oreo cookies (without the cream filling) on top of the brownie batter.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.

Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting and serving.

  • For extra fudgy brownies, bake them for a minute or two less than the recommended time.
  • If you don’t have any vanilla extract, you can substitute 1 teaspoon of almond extract.
  • For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder in the brownie batter.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. This will help them to set up properly and prevent them from falling apart.
  • Brownies can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.

Enjoy your delicious Fudgy Cookies & Cream Oreo Brownies!
