  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup strawberry simple syrup (adjust to taste)

For the spritzer

  • 1 bottle (750ml) chilled Prosecco, sparkling wine, or champagne
  • Ice
  • Fresh strawberries and lemon slices, for garnish

1. Make the strawberry simple syrup

  • Combine strawberries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the strawberries soften.
  • Remove from heat and let cool completely. Strain out the strawberries.

2. Make the lemonade

  • In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, cold water, and strawberry simple syrup. Stir well and adjust sweetness to your liking.

3. Assemble the spritzers

  • Fill glasses with ice.
  • Pour the lemonade mixture halfway up each glass.
  • Top with your choice of Prosecco, sparkling wine, or champagne.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon slices.

  • For a mocktail version, use sparkling water or club soda instead of wine.
  • Experiment with other berries like raspberries or blueberries for the simple syrup.
  • Add a sprig of fresh mint or basil for an extra flavor boost.
  • Make a large batch of the lemonade base ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
